CRIS adaptive equipment can be modified to suit each individual's needs. CRIS maintains a large inventory of equipment and resources in order to be adaptive. The society is continuously designing, constructing or altering existing equipment to provide all participants with access to the outdoors.

Kayak

To enable an individual with a diminished sense of balance to paddle on their own, CRIS kayaks can be outfitted with a state-of-the art outrigger system that greatly decreases the ability of a kayak to roll.

There are thousands of disabilities and diseases that present challenges for individuals and their families. CRIS programs provide people with disabilities the opportunity to overcome these challenges.

Trailrider

The Trailrider is a one- wheel chair that enables an individual to access city park walking trails or rugged mountain terrain with the assistance of able-bodied "sherpas."

With today’s advances in technology, newer, better and safer ways are being discovered for people with disabilities to explore various outdoor pursuits. Together with the many volunteers and resources available, CRIS is finding new ways to make trips possible regardless of the individual's capability.
